Today 11/1/16 as a New Patient went to the office to get a 2nd vac of chicken pox so that way I can register for school. My appt was at 9am but asked me to come in 30min early to fill out 3pg of new patients paper work. So I did. Sat in the lobby being the third one there then 4 more patients walk in 10min after my appt. I sat for 25min past my appt plus the 30min to get there early when it took me 5min to fill out the new patient forms. Then finally the nurse or medical assistant took my weight, pulse and blood pressure. Then sent me to the room which she asked me I'm being seen to get a HEP B and I said no I'm here to get my second vac of chicken pox for school registration. She then crosses out on paper and writes that in. Then excuses me waited 20min to have someone give me a shot. Just a shot. Then I hear the doctor argue with the nurses or medical assistant stating I had the chicken pox that I would not need that(clearly says that on my shot records that I brought) then doctor comes in asking if I ever had the chicken pox said yes then she says I need to have the doctor who diagnosed me with chicken pox to sign the papers....Seriously this was like 20years ago which that doctor passed away. Doctor refused to sign my papers. Asked me to get labs.(which I only seen the doctor literally for 2min if that!!) doctor told me to wait in lab room to have labs done. I was the second person in there. Then another person walks in 5min behind me and those two people were called before me! And another person walks in. I had enough!! Toyed me around didn't do anything for me!!! Didn't get the labs the office had dirt,hair and little black bugs in the corners of all rooms. The exam room had torn yellow paint or wall paper not sanitary!!! I had enough! They didn't appreciate me or welcomed me and I'm a NEW PATIENT !!!!!!! Oh by the way I received and email for ANOTHER PATIENT PORTAL INFO!!! so there goes HIPPA!!!!!! I asked for my $30 copay back because they didn't do anything for me besides waist 2hrs of my time!!! Then in which the doctor told Billing that she seen me for a physical exam!!! Are you Kidding me that never happened!!!! was seen for a chicken pox shot to be done which then turned into me getting labs done!! Not a physical!! I didn't get undressed I didn't even sat on the exam table!!!! Also I brought to Billing attention how they violated HIPPA by sending me PATIENT info by email!!! Not mine!!! So now I have to worry about someone else having my info!!!! Also they are refusing to give me my $30 back because my acct wasn't documented and the doctor is lying stating she gave me a physical which DID NOT HAPPEN!!!!! I will be getting people involved regarding the HIPPA being violated and the doctor lying!!!
I left this office this morning in tears because the doctor and her staff was so rude. She didn't even examine me and they all treated me like a drug addict. I don't even think they deserve the one star. I have never felt so disrespected as the doctor and staffs stood outside of the exam room talking about me. They need to learn manners and compassion. I understand that many people who are addicted to pain medications and drugs go see a doctor just to get a buzz, I am not one. I have an amazing husband and daughter that I care about more than anything in this world and a career that I love, I would not go to a doctor looking to get high and ruin my life!. I wish that doctors and medical staffs would not judge someone automatically just because they come in with pain. This is the first time that I ever post anything online. I pray it is my last.
Dr May and his medical staff have always been helpful and accommodating every time I needed to get in. It is a casual and relaxed atmosphere.
Hendren left the practice completely after only two appointments. She was very nice and I hate she left. The doctor that replaced her is nice but that will not help my conditions. I have been calling for two weeks to hear back about two surgeries meant to be scheduled. Still nothing. Also the phlebotomist is very nice but didn't wear gloves between myself and about 8 other patients. I probably won't be back. I have a slew of autoimmune diseases and if this is the way they run their medical practice then I need not see more. Nothing resolved, ALWAYS in there for hours and just over it. Good luck to whomever goes expecting anything more than treatment for contact dermatitis or a cold. Even then it's questionable.
Not too great. Had to make multiple calls to get a straight answer. Friendly but lacking a well assembled doctors office. Maybe I am just high maintenance.
